Hello? ๐
If the number is unknown, I pick up anyway, but might not say anything just yet. I can wait.
Most people text but I like the phone.
There is an element of surprise to a call,
so I try to answer right away โ
one or two rings, three max.
I picked up when award-winning, small agency BPN called. I worked on Lincoln City mostly, then Energy Trust of Oregon.
When Los Roast rang, I said yes and became a roaster at Portland's New Mexico Chile Company. I did everything for those guys, from sales to sampling, and jarring forklifting the stuff. I took orders and packed pallets; made sauces and local deliveries.
Before that, Instrument, a digital design studio, dialed to ask if I would write social and web copy. I stuck around to make websites for Nike, videos for Stumptown, and digital experiences for Google.
I moved from Portland to the Bay Area (BSSP, line one), then back to Portland, where I went to W+K 12. I've freelanced (currently) and worked full-time at agencies. I write headlines and subcopy. I develop concepts for creative directors and clients. Friends and friends of friends.
.
When you get me on the horn, I may say, 'Good copy, like the telephone, surprises and rings true.'
Surprise me. Email me your number so we can text.
